Candace Cameron Bure will return for a second round of THE AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES! The new installment will be titled A CASE FOR THE YARN MAKER.
“We are beyond excited to share the next cozy Ainsley McGregor mystery with our amazing audience of fans and friends,” an Instagram post from Great American Pure Flix reads. “Expect the stakes to be higher, romance to bloom and a clever ending you’d never expect.”
Bure commented on the post, telling fans, “Can’t wait for you all to watch this one! ☝🏼”
People in the comment section expressed their excitement. “So excited for another one to come out!!!! We loved the first one!” one user said. Another person added, “As a Candace fan and one who crochets this will be a fun one for me.”
The film is based off the book series by Candace Havens.
The first installment of Bure’s TV series is called AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES: A CASE FOR THE WINEMAKER. Movieguide®’s synopsis of the film reads:
AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES: A CASE FOR THE WINEMAKER stars Candace Cameron Bure (“Bur-ay”) in the title role. Ainsley is a former criminologist who returns to the small town of Sweet River, Texas for a big career change. Ainsley turned in her badge and credentials to open her own business in Sweet River, a place where artists can sell their work. Ainsley can’t deny her passion for solving crimes, however, when she discovers a murdered body in her best friend’s wine cellar. Her friend’s husband is a prime suspect, but other suspects and questions come to Ainsley’s attention. Then, Ainsley finds a note on her door warning, “Stay out of this, or you’re next.”

Although the film contains some violence, Movieguide® rated it highly thanks to its “Very strong moral worldview with some Christian values stresses strong friendships, family relationships and always doing the right thing.”
Bure previously spoke about how she loves playing Ainsley.
“I really liked who Ainsley is,” she shared in a video. “Different from any other characters that I’ve played in that she’s more analytical and she’s a creative person, but there’s so much thought and intention behind everything every step that she makes and everything that she does.”
Although a synopsis of A CASE FOR THE YARN MAKER has yet to be released, a synopsis of the novel that it is based off of reads, “Everyone at Bless Your Art in Sweet River, Texas, is excited about the Yarn Goddess (yes, that’s her real name) coming to town… It’s all fun and games until George Clooney, Ainsley’s Great Dane, finds Ms. Yarn’s dead body in a booth at Bless Your Art.” Ainsley then works to solve the mystery.
THE AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES: A CASE FOR THE YARN MAKER is set to release May 22 on Great American Pure Flix.
