Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders revealed he has not completely recovered from an unspecified health issue that began months ago.

“You know, I’m still going through something,” the coach said in a new YouTube video as he and his daughter, Shelomi, took an ice bath together outside their property in Texas.

“I’m getting better, though, right?” Sanders asked his daughter.

In the video, Sanders said, “We’ve been working, we’ve been fishing – my leg is still gone from yesterday morning. You know I’m still going through something, ain’t all the way recovered.”

Earlier this summer, Sanders’ son revealed his dad was dealing with an unspecified health issue that kept him from preparing with the Buffalos.

While he’s still not fully recovered, he says he’s “already back.”

“I’m here today. I’m handling my responsibilities,” Sanders told ESPN last week at a Big 12 media day. “So I look forward to it. I can’t wait. You’ve got to understand, some of the young [players] I haven’t even met yet. I’m so excited about that.”

“I’m looking good, I’m living lovely,” he added. “God has truly blessed me. Not a care in the world, not a want or desire in the world.”

While his physical strength isn’t quite where he wants it, the YouTube video shows Coach Prime partaking in several different sports like basketball and tennis.

“We just had a tremendous session of tennis – just lessons, we didn’t go against each other,” Sanders shared. “Let me tell you something, all you tennis players – I’ve always had respect for you, but I’ve grown in my respect for you. That was a workout.”

“This was a workout, my legs are gone, my back is hurting,” he added.

Despite his recent health concerns, Sanders remains positive and continues sharing encouragement on his social media.

“Lord, if you didn’t give it to me, I don’t want it,” Sanders said in a post earlier this week. “It ain’t right, it won’t last, and it’s mean’t to destroy me. Lord, thank you for allowing me to know what comes from your hand and what doesn’t. Please let’s not be fooled with i’ll gotten gains and the wrong people in our lives.”

In another post, Sanders said, “Your responsibility vs. your job! Your responsibility ain’t necessarily your job, and your job ain’t necessarily your responsibility. If you find yourself challenged by both we all understand. Handle your responsibility and never allow it to be a job.”

Continue to keep Sanders in your prayers as he works towards recovery and trusts in the Lord to bring him back to full health before the upcoming college football season.
