Influencer Brittany Lynn Lutz encourages fellow moms to prioritize spending time with family and enjoying the holiday season over stressing about making Christmas perfect.
“If you are the mom who was created with a God given gift to put together decor in a way that tells a story and can throw a fully thought out, curated party with minimal effort, that’s AMAZING. And a God given gift!!” she wrote in an Instagram post. “But a lot of us just don’t have that in us, and that’s ok! I’ve seen too many people, many of my friends, feel down and stressed trying to keep up with the joneses when it comes to birthday parties and holidays. Not to mention the 💸💸💸”
Lutz continued, “So if you’re in need of it, here is the permission to those who just don’t have the gift, desire or funds to curate the *perfect* aesthetic. Be free to use the same decorations. Be free not to buy all the latest trends. Be free to just BE with your families and laugh and bake and play and make all the memories!”
“We only get one life! Our kids are only little for so many holidays! Let’s keep our eyes on the reason for the season and focus on what matters most,” she concluded.

It’s something Lutz has posted about before; in a September Instagram post, the mother of two joked about not having a “perfect” living space.
“And I wouldn’t have it any other way!” she wrote. “I LOVE aesthetic spaces but right now we value creating a fun childhood more. That may not be for everyone but it’s important to find the DNA and value system of YOUR family and be unapologetic in it.”
She continued, “We’re all on a different assignment raising different kids so don’t feel the need for your life to look like your favorite influencer or mentor or Pinterest board. Do what YOU are called to do with your life and family and never waver.”
Lutz often shares her thoughts on loving the life you have, rather than stressing about the picture-perfect life you might think you should have.
In one recent post, she told followers that “it’s easy to romanticize your life when you chose not to settle in the waiting season.”
“Every day I wake up with zero regrets about the life I chose and that’s a peace unlike any other,” Lutz continued. “i never even think about how long the waiting season was anymore. when you follow God’s plan, He redeems time. if you wait for His best, nothing is wasted. not your time. not your tears. nothing. to whoever needs the reminder: don’t settle for less than God’s best. He desires you to have the life of your dreams even more than you do. He’s got you.”
Lutz’s words are a gentle encouragement to any moms who might be stressing about doing it all this Christmas season, reminding them that quality time with family should always come first.
