LAST MAN STANDING alum Nancy Travis understands why audiences want more faith-based content.

“I think people feel more alone than ever,” Travis told Fox News Digital. “I think a lot of our lives are lacking in community. They’re certainly lacking since COVID. There’s a lack of in-person community. Some people spend a lot of time at home behind a computer, and that’s their human interaction. I think people are looking for some kind of connection and some kind of feeling, especially now.”

“I feel as a performer, I just really want to tell the truth,” she added, explaining why she focuses her career on uplifting stories. “I want to be honest in my performance so that there isn’t a fake moment, whether it is something like RESCUED BY FAITH or LAST MAN STANDING. Even when I’m on stage, I want to tell the truth in a way that resonates with people. I hope that they are moved or entertained or just take something away that impacts their day in some way. We are all human with different journeys.”

The entertainment industry isn’t the only area where people have noticed a rising interest in faith since 2020. San Francisco pastor Denis Lee Yohn previously shared that curiosity in Christianity exploded in recent years, despite the Bay Area traditionally being “hostile” towards faith.

“It’s no secret that this region has been historically quite hostile to the Christian faith, in the sense that I think there’s always been some interest in spirituality and maybe more influence or eastern religions here,” Yohn said. “But in the past, I think that Christianity has been looked down upon by many people in this region.”

“And so to have some very prominent, influential, very well-respected people identity as Christians and explain why they take seriously the claims of Jesus, and why they want to follow Him, I think it kind of prompts them to wonder, well, maybe this is something that I should look into also,” he continued.

The younger generations are leading the charge on the mass return to faith, perhaps because they came of age during COVID and were most impacted by the disruption it caused. Furthermore, social media has exposed them to the darkness of the world from a young age, and they want something else.

“I think they’ve searched everywhere for truth and hope and the only hope they’re really gonna find is in Jesus Christ. There’s an army of young people rising up,” Unitus founder Tonya Prewett told Fox News’ Shannon Bream.

Praise the Lord for the movement taking place across the country and that America’s interest in faith has become too large to ignore. May millions more turn toward to God and allow Him to lead their lives and help them find true fulfillment.
