Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Reece Weaver may have stepped away from cheerleading, but that doesn’t mean her performing days are over.

“That’s always been my dream,” the AMERICA’S SWEETHEARTS star told E! News of her Broadway dreams. “I went to a performing arts middle school and high school, so I was the bun head. I was being classically trained in all sorts of genres, all styles, and just fell in love with wanting to perform on a stage.”

She continued, “I want to go back to my roots and my upbringing in dance, and I think that involves taking the next step of wanting to be on Broadway. We’ll see!”

Weaver shared one Broadway show that is close to her heart.

“I feel like Chicago would be one, because of the Fosse style,” she said. “I mean, that’s just classic and so, so iconic.”

She later added, “If Broadway calls, I will definitely take that call.”

In addition to Broadway, Weaver admitted she would love the chance to be on the hit dancing competition TV show DANCING WITH THE STARS.

“That is probably my favorite show. I was raised on that show growing up,” she said. “My mom and I would always vote every single week. So, I mean, I would love to, and I think it’s every dancer’s dream to want to be on that show.”

Weaver retired from the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders after three seasons. In a separate discussion with E!, she shared how her decision was based on wanting to explore opportunities outside of cheerleading.

“A lot of people are always scared to stay in their box and be like, ‘Well, this is it. There’s no other step.’ I just want to encourage people to be bold enough to take that leap,” she said.

She added, “It’s scary because I’m currently in that right now. There’s so much more outside for everyone. I think that’s another reason why I really wanted to step into the next chapter.”

She leaned on the Lord for guidance throughout her journey as a Cowboys cheerleader.

“I remember praying for wisdom, clarity and for the Lord’s will to be done before this journey began,” Weaver wrote on Instagram earlier this month. “No matter the outcome, I felt called to chase this dream. Even in the uncertainty, God gave me a peace that surpassed all understanding. Through it all, my prayer stayed the same: ‘Lord, use me.’”

She continued, “As I prayerfully step into this next chapter, I find myself right back where I started: excited for what’s ahead, a little scared of the unknown, but filled with the same peace… I don’t know where this next leap of faith will lead, but I know who does. The Author of my story has already written it.”

We can’t wait to see where God leads Weaver next.
