Hulk Hogan’s daughter, Brooke Hogan, recently shared what she thinks about her late father.
Hogan, who owns a Nashville-based design business, stars in ROCK THE BLOCK Season 7, which just premiered on Monday.
“Half of me is like, ‘I can’t believe I’m here.’ I can’t believe that design is what I ended up doing. I wonder if my dad would be proud and be like, ‘This is cool,’” Hogan told her partner on the show, Scott McGillivray.
“’Cause I never wanted to take daddy’s money. So when I was building my business, I was really building it with no capital, no help from anybody else,” she explained.
She revealed that she wasn’t talking with her dad before his death, so she never told him she would be on the show.
“But I told my husband, I was like, ‘I wonder, I wonder if my dad would be proud knowing that I’m doing this.’ You know, ‘I wonder if…’ ”
“He was the one that told me to get my real estate license,” she said about her dad.

She also revealed that she went through some hardships in the early stages of her design business.
“What I think a lot of people don’t know is that I’ve never been somebody that worked off my dad’s money. Like, my parents got me to a certain point,” Hogan said, adding that she was on her own when she got her solo show.
She continued, “The second TV stopped, I was like, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing with my life,’ and then moved a million times because I didn’t know where I belonged. I finally landed in Nashville and started this design business decorating short-term rentals. And it was really a struggle in the beginning.”
She had spent a lot more than she made, and had to wait tables to make ends meet.
“And then I started loving it, and it became something I was really good at and really proud of. And we became one of the top design firms in Nashville,” she said.
McGillivray told her, “You’ve got a talent, and I’m sure he would be super proud of you.”
“I hope he is proud. Thank you,” Hogan said, “I love what I do, and it felt like all the work and the things I’ve been doing in the shadows, it kind of just made me feel a little bit like I have something still left,” she added.
She and Scott won the first challenge in the competition, and Hogan revealed that HGTV censored her during the episode.
“So, here’s my take from the premiere,” she said on Monday. “Scott told me what was gonna happen, ‘cause he is an HGTV vet. He said, ‘You’re too crass. You’re too much. HGTV brought you in as a wild card to add some spice.”
“But everything you’re saying is too much. They’re gonna cut it out.’ I was like, ‘No. Hilarious. Of course they’re not,’” but “They did.”
Hogan also tackled NFL pro Vernon Davis on the set.
Davis said “[Brooke] came up to me, and then she just tackled me. And I’m like, ‘Oh! Where did that come from?’ She’s standing [and saying,] ‘Let’s do it again, Vernon. Let’s film it this time. Stand right there.’”
So they repeated the whole thing for the cameras.
“I was standing there like I’m about to take a drink of water, [and] she comes up and tackles me,” he said. He also revealed that he thinks Hogan and McGillivray are his and Mina Starsiak Hawk’s biggest competition.
The next episode airs on April 20.
