Former WWE Star Sting Shares Testimony: ‘Live Your Life For Jesus Christ’

WWE star Steve Borden, known as Sting in the ring, is encouraging people to open their hearts to God.
“Live your life for Jesus Christ,” he said. “Make the decision in your heart and then vocally and then tell the Lord that you want to live your life for Him from this day forward. And don’t be wishy-washy with your walk. Talk about what you believe. Talk about what Jesus Christ did in your life, and you know what? He’s going to come. You will experience God, and he will be able to deliver you from any kind of problem that you have.”
He also addressed people who have “never accepted the Lord,” saying, “If you don’t know for sure, just try it, and just ask him. Just say, ‘If you’re there, Jesus Christ, if you are there,’ ask him to come into your heart, and he will. Ask him to reveal himself to you, and he will.”
“You’re not insignificant,” Borden concluded. “You are very significant in God’s eyes. He loves you, and I’m telling you, Jesus Christ is real, and he wants to save your life right now. Just open your heart up to him like I did, and I promise you, God will come.”
Borden has previously shared his testimony.
“I made a lot of bad choices that led to a lot of severe consequences,” he explained. “I was addicted to painkillers and muscle-relaxers. I was drinking alcohol. I had lied to my now ex-wife for years about what I was doing on the road as far as adultery and women. So I had lots of skeletons in the closet and I found myself with no ability to fix it all.”
At his lowest point, he realized he needed “something supernatural” to help him turn his life around and prayed, “God, from this day forward, I will live my life for You. You must come and fix me, come and live inside of me. No more lip service, show me how to live, how to be a Christian, how to be a man.”
“[God] saved my life and He fixed me,” Borden shared.
Borden’s wife Sue has spoken about how the strength of her husband’s faith has helped her overcome her own struggles and find faith.
“Just seeing what happened to my husband, I wanted that so desperately,” she explained. “It was a couple of months after he had given his life to the Lord that I truly surrendered. I had grown up in the church, but I never had a relationship with Jesus Christ. It wasn’t the miracle that he experienced, the overnight, but I’ve had slow and steady growth and it’s been just unbelievable for our marriage, for our children.”
