The motocross community took a hard hit this past weekend when 16-year-old Pro Circuit Monster Energy rider Aidan Zingg tragically died in a crash at Mammoth Motocross in California.
But through the tragedy, many have come to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“Today at Mammoth Motocross, the unthinkable happened. A devastating crash took the life of young rider Aidan Zingg. The energy of the day shifted in an instant, the sound of engines disappeared, and in its place, silence…followed by the sound of prayer,” a person who attended shared in a post on Instagram.
“As news spread, a huge crowd gathered around the @panicrev tent, riders, families, friends, and fans, all united in heartbreak and in faith. Tears were shed, hands were held, and voices rose in prayer, hopefully lifting Aidan. It was a powerful reminder of how deeply connected this community is, and how one life can touch so many,” the post continued.
Panic Rev MX is all about “Faith, Family, and Motocross. We are a movement, empowering and equipping the motocross community to know Jesus and to walk strong and bold in their faith.”
Following Zingg’s death, Panic Rev shared about his impact: “We’ve only seen a glimpse of the impact Aiden’s life has made. He touched so many — and we can’t walk away from this the same. As we’re forced to face death and eternity, hearts have opened to Jesus. But this can’t just be a moment…it has to mark a movement in our lives.
“Let’s allow God to use Aiden’s life to echo real, lasting change. Jesus says, ‘Come as you are’—but He never intended for us to stay the same,” Panic Rev continued. “Let’s honor Aiden by choosing to live differently. Let’s live with our Creator as our King.”
The post concluded with Matthew 9:37: “Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.’”
Zingg’s biggest sponsor, Monster Energy Kawasaki, took to social media to honor his memory.
“It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Kawasaki Team Green rider Aidan Zingg,” the account wrote. “Zingg lost his life following injuries sustained during a crash at Mammoth Motocross in Mammoth Lakes, California. Zingg’s dedication and kind demeanor will forever be remembered in the racing community.”
Please keep the Zingg family and all those closest to Aidan in your prayers. Pray also that God uses this tragedy to bring those in the motocross community into relationship with Him.
