Justin and Hailey Bieber Say They’re Anchored in Their Christian Faith

By Tess Farrand, Associate Content Editor

Justin and Hailey Bieber said their Christian faith is their “anchor” during COVID-19.

While playing a game of Jenga on their Facebook Watch series, Justin asked his wife about faith.

“What is your anchor that keeps you pushing, obviously like our faith?”Justin added, “You and I have the same belief system. We believe in Jesus and His forgiveness and salvation, just that whole thing.

“Do you think that that’s having your anchor in your spirit? Knowing that regardless of what’s going on in the world you kind of have that security?” Justin asked.

Hailey answered, “Totally. Not only knowing that we have the peace of Jesus and we can lean on Him during this time and we can read the Bible, we can do so many things. We also have our church community that has been constant through this whole thing.”

The newlywed couple has been incredibly open about their shared faith.

Movieguide® previously reported:

“The couple resides in the Los Angeles area and regularly attends church together. Each of them has been incredibly open about their relationship with the Lord.

Justin’s documentary, SEASONS, often discusses the musician’s faith and how it has impacted his life choices.

They also often post verses or biblical encouragements to their social media channels.

For now, the Biebers are in quarantine in Canada and loving the extra time to get to know one another as newlyweds.

“My hope is that we never stop getting to know each other,” Hailey said.

However, that doesn’t mean that everything is picture perfect. The couple joked about Justin’s beloved Nerf gun that he will randomly use to attack.

“The random Nerf gun is my ultimate annoyance,” Hailey said.

Despite some of the pitfalls of stay-at-home orders, the superstar couple thinks that many people will come out of this pandemic with a renewed sense of strength.

Justin said in conclusion “I would just encourage people who are just like trying to get through, don’t like feel pressure to get all this stuff done, just do as much as you can.”
