Pray: Christian WWE Star Is In ‘The Fight Of His Life’ Over Health Concerns
By Movieguide® Staff
Retired Christian pro wrestler “Superstar” Billy Graham recently announced his hospitalization after serious health concerns.
The wrestler, whose real name is Eldridge Wayne Coleman, is in “the fight of his life,” according to his Facebook page.
Coleman, 79, was a WWE wrestler in the 1970s and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004.
A GoFundMe Page has been set up to help Coleman with his hospital bills. As of April 3, the page has raised over $10,000 for Coleman’s medical expenses.
“He is dealing with a myriad of very serious health issues: a major infection in his ears and skull that may take six months of intravenous IVs, congestive heart failure, diabetes, hearing loss as a result of the infection, and the list goes on,” the GoFundMe page explained.
“He is facing a long period of rehab, and his insurance will only pay a portion of this. He is facing at least two months in a skilled nursing facility, once he is stabilized and released from the Mayo hospital,” the page continued.
Colemann’s family has been posting updates on the wrestler’s Facebook page. The most recent post shared that he is receiving a “follow up MRI.”
“Praying for a good report in Jesus name!!!!!” the post read. “Thank you all friends!”
