The Sweet Reason Why the Property Brothers’ Parents Left Their Dream Home
By Movieguide® Contributor
Sometimes being close to family is more valuable than living in your dream home. At least that’s the case for Jim and Joanna Scott, the parents of “Property Brothers” Drew and Jonathan Scott.
The couple spent 60 years in their dream home in the Canadian Rocky Mountains but recently decided to move to Los Angeles to be close to their sons.
Drew explained to PEOPLE the sacrifice that his parents made.
“They’re leaving their dreams. Up in the Rocky Mountains, they had this killer view. They’ve lived their whole lives there — 60 years they’ve been together. This has been where they first met, and where they were before they moved down here,” he said.
The Scotts purchased a “Spanish-style bungalow” which Drew and Jonathan will be working on in a new episode of DON’T HATE YOUR HOUSE WITH THE PROPERTY BROTHERS.
“We couldn’t have them move down here to be closer to family and hate where they live,” Drew explained.
