What You Need To Know:

MAFIA MAMMA is a violent action comedy. The story follows an American mother named Kristin who inherits her grandfather’s Mafia empire in Italy. While she debates going to Italy, finding her husband committing adultery gives her the push she needs to go. However, what Kristin believes will be a relaxing vacation turns into chaos when she finds herself at the center of two rival crime families. In ridiculous fashion, Kristin surprises both her newly acquainted family and her dead grandfather’s enemies with her ruthless ability to lead.

More Detail:

MAFIA MAMMA is a new action comedy starring Toni Collette as a mother named Kristin who recently saw her only child off to college, finds her husband cheating on her and then inherits her grandfather’s business, which turns out to be in organized crime.

One day, she receives a mysterious call which claims that her grandfather has died and that she has inherited his family business in Italy. They ask Kristin to come as quickly as possible, but she initially turns them down because of her responsibilities at work and at home.

However, when Kristin finds her husband committing adultery in their basement, her friend encourages her to go to Italy and use it as an excuse to pursue her lustful passions. Once there, she is quickly found by her family, and they head to her grandfather’s funeral. During the procession, Kristin and the rest of the family are attacked and a shootout ensues.

Bianca, Kristin’s main contact in Italy informs her that her grandfather was a Mafia boss and that they are currently locked in a battle with a rival crime family. Kristin must pick up her grandfather’s mantle and lead her crime family, but her own desire for sinful pleasure may become too much of a distraction and put her family in danger.

This is a largely unfunny comedy that must rely on its gross immorality like excessive foul language and gory violence for its audience engagement. MAFIA MAMMA is a gross, immoral, abhorrent comedy with no redeeming qualities.
