More Detail:
HOUSE PARTY shows the level to which culture degenerates without Christ. However, secular critics, whose eyes also have been blinded by the Adversary, will invariably try to find something good to say about it, closing their natural eyes to the fact that the film is not just bad, it’s really bad.
Except for two white cops made to look like idiots, the cast for this sorry teen comedy is all black. The plot revolves around one hapless Kid’s effort to arrive at a house party before the festivities end. Grounded by his father for trouble at school, Kid (no kidding, that’s his real name) sneaks out anyway, is harassed by three bullies, then proceeds to the party.
The rest of the film shows these revelers dancing, smacking their lips in lust at each other, engaging in graphic sexual fondling, spewing forth obscenities in every line of poorly-written dialogue, or observing fornication through a neighbor’s window. The lead character himself makes a comment about their culture being like “pre-historic stuff.”
These characters are rebellious in attitude and dress, mean to their own kind, and especially hateful toward whites. There is not one laugh during the entire picture, just immature, childish, juvenile behavior. Moreover, there is lying, arrogant braggadocio, references to crack smoking and alcoholism, and disrespect toward parental authority.
Ecclesiastes 7:2 says, “It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting, for death is the destiny of every man; the living should take this to heart.” In other words, it’s better to go to a funeral than to a party, because death reminds you to think of where you’re going and to remember your Creator before it’s too late.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Pray for the cast of the film, for “As no one is discharged in time of war, so wickedness will not release those who practice it” (Ecclesiastes 8:8b). Also please address your comments to:
