What You Need To Know:
RUMORS OF WARS is well done with good picture quality, acting and writing. The worldview may be controversial depending on one’s eschatological viewpoint, but overall the story is entertaining and compelling. Even better, it has a strong positive portrayal of Christian character, the importance of staying true to your convictions, and the impact that just one person can have if they put the truth before self-interest. Due to the intense action scenes, caution is advised for younger children.
Content:
(CCC, BBB, ACAC, L, VV, M) Very strong positive portrayal of Christianity, shows that Christ and the Scriptures have strong power to change hearts, picture of Jesus in background, stresses self-sacrifice, bravery, fighting evil and following the truth no matter the cost, with strong anti-humanist big government; one “Gee” and one OMG; many people are shot in battles and executions, but not overly graphic, woman is seen bloody and getting hit by a man, man is hit by a car; no sex; no nudity; no alcohol; no smoking or drugs; and, people occasionally lie for protection, man is angry at Christians for the death of his parents.
