More Detail:
IT’S A DOG’S LIFE, a documentary series on Disney+, is a look at how dogs use their unique and special talents to do good. The series is hosted by Bill Farmer, the iconic voice behind Disney characters Pluto and Goofy, as he travels around to different places meeting dogs that perform extraordinary tasks.
Each episode, Farmer tells the story of two dogs and what they do to contribute to the well-being of mankind. These tasks could be anywhere from helping those with special needs, data research or interacting with other animals to help train them. Along the way, Farmer gives educational tips on responsible pet care during a segment called “Pluto’s Pointers.” Finally, the episodes end with a segment on “Hometown Heroes” where people send in videos about how their dog is a hero.
Farmer does an incredible job at voicing the series, which is no surprise. He shows so much love and respect as he learns about the different talent’s dogs have and is genuinely surprised at some of the tasks they’re able to do with training. In one episode, he meets a boy with special needs who has an incredible service dog. The boy’s dream is to become a voice actor just like Farmer, so Farmer takes the boy to the recording studio to give him a quick lesson, and even reunites him with his brother.

It also shows how different breeds of dogs can have different talents that can be used for different tasks. The episodes are educational, lighthearted, fun, and often funny or heartwarming.
