Disney+ dominates the world of kids’ streaming, with a helping hand from the massively popular BLUEY — it’s been streamed for 70 billion minutes since 2024.
“From BLUEY to SPIDEY AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS, MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE, SUPERKITTIES and beyond, our Disney Jr. content brand delivers trusted, joyful stories with characters that stay with audiences for a lifetime,” Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television, said in a statement to Deadline. “It’s why families continue to turn to Disney+ first — and why we remain the leader in preschool entertainment.”
BLUEY isn’t just topping the lists of kids’ viewing; it was “the No.1 most watched show (of all shows) in America for 2024,” per an Instagram post from the show’s executive producer Daley Pearson.
And the Teddy Bear Award® nominee isn’t just relegated to the small screen — BBC Studios and Disney announced a full-length BLUEY movie is on the way, hitting theaters in 2027.
“Since its debut on Disney Jr. and Disney+, BLUEY has become a global phenomenon, uniting families everywhere with its heartfelt stories of play, imagination and connection,” Alan Bergman and Dana Walden, co-chairmen of Disney Entertainment, shared. “We are so proud to expand upon our relationship with BBC Studios to bring the magic of BLUEY to the big screen – for real life! — and we are deeply grateful to Joe Brumm for creating a world that continues to inspire and delight families everywhere.”
While BLUEY is the undeniable leader of the pack, SPIDEY AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS and MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE take the second and third spots when it comes to top streaming shows in the U.S. for preschoolers.
