AMC will launch a new reality TV service via Amazon Prime Video with over 2,500 hours of reality shows.

The service, titled All Reality, will start at $4.99 and will eventually be on other platforms, The Hollywood Reporter said.

“AMC Networks has produced some of the most compelling stories on television – from our award-winning original dramas to popular, long-running reality franchises with characters and plot twists that rival even the most dramatic scripted fare,” said Courtney Thomasma, AMC’s executive vp of linear and streaming products.

AMC is the first company to create an entire streaming service just for reality TV.

“As the home of the world’s largest collection of targeted streaming services, we are thrilled to bring reality TV viewers the programming they love most, available for the first time on a single streaming platform in the U.S. – All Reality,” Thomasma continued. “With thousands of hours of unapologetically addictive reality TV, including new installments of iconic franchises like BRIDEZILLAS, we’re excited to bring fans more of the drama they can’t get enough of, with none of the filler.”

This marks one of AMC’s steps to turn from linear channels to streaming. In 2022, AMC acquired HIDIVE, a niche streamer.

“As we were looking across the marketplace, we saw a white space with reality,” Thomasma told Deadline. “We were surprised to see that there hadn’t been a subscription service.” Reality, she added, “has been one of the most durable genres, dominating the Nielsen ratings.”

Reality is having a moment. LOVE ISLAND soared on Peacock last summer, and competition series are popular on Netflix, Paramount+ and other streamers.

AMC adds that reality has gained over 10 billion minutes of viewing on FAST platforms across the last 12 months.

All Reality programs include BRIDEZILLAS, MARRIAGE BOOT CAMP, LOVE AFTER LOCKUP and many other titles. Docu-soaps like TRUE CRIME STORY: IT COULDN’T HAPPEN HERE and THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW will also be on the hub. All Reality will be the exclusive streaming home for new episodes of BRIDEZILLAS and MAMA JUNE, per Deadline.

“AMC Networks announced today the return of BRIDEZILLAS, one of reality TV’s first franchises, for a wilder-than-ever new season with eight episodes debuting exclusively on All Reality, a new streaming service delivering the best in unscripted reality content,” AMC said in a statement. “Tamar Braxton, known for her long-standing presence in reality television, brings new life, humor and her signature flair to the return of the pop culture phenom, which debuts with two episodes today, and new episodes dropping every Friday, beginning November 28.”

AMC is trying to harness sustainable business by leaning into niches and making strategic deals, like its AMC Collection with Netflix, which was renewed in September.
