FIXER TO FABULOUS star Jenny Marrs is mama to two little lambs, and their trust in her points her back to Jesus.

“As I watch Walter and Hazel run toward me each day, trusting me for their sustenance and safety, I see how important it is for these gentle, helpless creatures to have a good, caring, loving shepherd(ess),” she wrote in a video on Instagram. “They can’t survive on their own. They need protection, ample food and water and safe shelter.”

“They need me to love them enough to rise out of bed early and come home throughout the day to ensure they’re fed on time. They need me to love them enough to stay alert and aware of their needs as they grow,” she explained. “It all points me back to Jesus.”

The lambs reminded Marrs of a quote by W. Phillip Keller about how a shepherd loves to care for his sheep.

“Caring for my little flock has taught me that I can confidently walk with Him simply because of trust,” Marrs explained. “Trust formed day after day, walking behind and beside Him. Trust rooted in the knowledge of His ridiculously lavish love for me.”

“I’m grateful for this little farm and my little flock for the way they continue to teach me more about God’s heart for His kids,” she said, adding, ‘And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is,’ {Ephesians 4:18}.”

Two years ago, Marrs had a lamb named Tommy, which she loved dearly, who succumbed to illness. In February, Marrs detailed the loss of their sheep, BaaBaa and her babies. The Marrs family thought the sheep expected twins, but it was actually quadruplets. Neither the mom or any of the four babies survived the emergency C-section.

Despite the sorrow, Marrs took a step in accepting more lambs to care for last month.

On March 18, she said, “Today, we welcome Walter and Hazel to the farm with expectant hope for the joy they’ll bring despite the distinct possibility for sorrow. I prayed over these two as I drove them up the street to our home: May they stay safe and healthy and, most of all, thank you, Lord for new life, new mercies and fresh reminders that our hope is in you alone (Psalm 39:7)! 🤍”

Marrs love for her lambs and God never fails. Hopefully little Walter and Hazel will grow up to be healthy sheep.
