By Movieguide® Staff

STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW, starring Jude Law, recently wrapped filming.

The new series is set to launch on Disney+ later this year.

“That’s a Wrap on Skeleton Crew!! Once again I was lucky enough to be surrounded by some of the most amazing stunt performers I have ever worked with!! I fell so lucky to work with you all! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication! So so excited for this one!” Stunt coordinator George Cottle said in a video posted to Instagram.

Stunt actor Juliana Potter added: “Going to miss my Star Wars: Skeleton Crew stunt family. So grateful. Can’t wait for the world to see what’s in store.”

Movieguide® previously reported of the upcoming series:

California seems to be on board the Star Wars train and offered the company $20.9 million in tax subsidies for the upcoming animated series SKELETON CREW.

According to California Film Commission records, SKELETON CREW is the first Star Wars TV Series to receive state incentives.

“Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is a Disney+ original animated series that follows a group of 10-year-old kids from a small planet who get lost in that galaxy far, far away and must try to find their way home,” IGN reported of the new series.

Despite the oversaturation of streaming content, Disney+ catalog of Star Wars product is among the strongest.

Movieguide® recently nominated an episode of ANDOR for an award at the upcoming 30th Annual Movieguide® Award Gala.

A portion of Movieguide®’s review reads:

The Season One finale of STAR WARS: ANDOR on Disney Plus begins with Cassian Andor returning to Ferrix to secretly attend his adopted mother’s funeral. As Andor watches, the people gather in the town square to hear a message Andor’s mother recorded before she died. Her message to the people: Wake up and fight the empire! The people rebel, but Imperial troops attack them. Andor must rescue his tortured friend Bix, who’s held captive by the secret police. Meanwhile, Bix and Andor’s contact to the Rebel Alliance has come to kill him if the Empire takes Andor alive.

The Season One finale of ANDOR is an exciting finish to the season. It champions freedom against tyrannical government. Andor’s willing to do whatever it takes to save the people he loves. As a prequel to the original STAR WARS, ANDOR is a fascinating look at the start of the rebellion and how good conquers evil. ANDOR boasts some of the best writing and acting of any Disney Plus series to date. MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for older children for the violence in Episode 12.
