Phoenix Suns Guard Praises Jesus After Win: ‘He Protects Me’

Phoenix Suns shooting guard Bradley Beal praised Jesus after the Suns beat the Philadelphia 76ers 109-99 on Monday night.
This game was special for the athlete.
“Bradley Beal made the most of an unfamiliar role Monday, scoring 25 points in his first game off the bench in nine years. Beal scored 20 points in the second half as Phoenix overcame an early 12-point deficit to snap a four-game losing streak,” ESPN reported.
The media caught up with Beal after the game, asking about his confidence and the fun he has on the court.
“First of all, great, great game, but I want to start with you. You are confident, you are composed, you’re getting to your spots, but most importantly, you are smiling, enjoying the game and having fun. Tell us about that,” the Phoenix Suns media team asked him.
Beal replied, “First, praise my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He protects me, man, like we go through adversity all the time in life, and this ain’t nothing more than that, you know. So, I’m always willing to do whatever the team needs, and I’m always ready to go. So there’s no difference tonight.”

In 2021, Beal opened up about what he writes on his shoes before each game.
“I write two scriptures. Philippians 4:13. ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’ And then I write Galatians 6:9. ‘Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.’ That’s kind of with both individual and my team, team-oriented,” Beal told NBC Washington.
“Then, I write my two boys’ names. I write Deuce on the left side and then Bray Bray on the right. That’s what I go out there and hoop for. Obviously, wifey too, she knows that,” he added.
