Rumer Willis loves to see the bond her daughter, Louetta, shares with her parents, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore.
“My mom, she’s Yaya to Lou. She’s the one who brought in the contraband of MOANA and Disney because I was like, ‘We don’t watch TV in this house. We don’t ever. Not until she’s 5.’ And then I went over and MOANA was on. I was like, ‘Come on!’ ” Rumer told PEOPLE. “But they love each other. I mean, you should see her face light up when they’re on FaceTime when we’re away.”
“She just gets so excited, and it’s sweet, and my mom is so incredible with babies. She always has been, and so it’s such a delight to see them together,” she added. “They’re so silly and wonderful.”
Despite the challenges that come with Bruce’s 2022 frontotemporal dementia diagnosis, he still “gets so excited” when he sees his granddaughter.
“Even with my dad, given the challenges that he’s dealing with, whenever we go over there to visit, his face just lights up and he gets so excited and is so sweet with her,” the actor’s daughter explained. “My family is so incredible with her. I feel so lucky, and she’s so lucky. I mean, they are obsessed with her.”
Rumer celebrated her daughter’s birthday in April and decided to share some sweet words on Instagram to celebrate.
“My Baby is 2!!!! 🎈Oh my sweet girl, what an absolute privilege it is to be your mama,” she began the post.
“You wake me up every morning and say, ‘Good Morning, Mama, I love you so much,’ and my whole world stands still. You know yourself so well and watching you show me which dress you want to wear and which shoes is captivating,” she continued. “You are so smart and funny and so unbelievably kind. I want to be like you when I grow up.”
Rumer added: “Mothering you has changed every cell in my body. You’ve made me softer in the places that used to brace for impact. Stronger in the places that used to collapse. And more myself than I’ve ever been.”

Rumer has learned so much about herself and how to parent being Louetta’s mom for the last two years.
“Everything is a negotiation. I think in parenting, it’s like, ‘how can I do the best that I can do?’ ” Rumer told PEOPLE. “I get so emotional when I talk about her because there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for her.”
She continued: “What [everything going on in the world] has really done for me actually is focus on how I care for myself because how I care for myself is how she will learn to care for herself, and that is a huge one for me. Sometimes as parents and just as people in general, we really race past that. And that trope about putting your oxygen mask on first in parenting is so vital.”
It’s wonderful to see the bond Bruce shares with both his daughter and granddaughter, despite his ongoing health struggles.
