More Detail:

TEA TOWN TEDDY BEARS is a delightful, beautifully animated series about little teddy bears who get into problems and find out that doing the right thing solves the problem. I watched two of the programs with two of my 18 grandchildren aged 7 and 4, and they loved it and wanted to watch more.

Season One, Episode 1.01, titled “Friends Stick Together,” opens with Ginger teddy bear making a hat, Ginger is always making something. By the way, each teddy bear is given the name of a tea.

When Ginger glues a flower to the hat, the glue pot tips over, and she gets glue all over her hand. Since she’s rushing to teatime, she doesn’t want to take the time to wash her hands.

Earl Grey teddy bear has made the tea and treats. Boba teddy bear has made the decorations. Before the tea party begins, however, Myrtle Mole burrows up from the ground, startling the three little teddy bears. Ginger gives Myrtle the hat, but her hand sticks to the brim, causing a comical tug of war.

When the tea and the beautiful tea delights are set out, Ginger’s sticky fingers cause more havoc. Then, the tea table turns into a large teacup, which files off with Myrtle in the cup and all three of the bears hanging on for dear life. Eventually, everyone ends up in a little pond. Of course, the water washes off Ginger’s hand so it’s not sticky anymore. The flying teacup transforms back into a table, and they have a fun tea party floating on the pond.

The other episode we screened was Episode 26 where they’re going to have a sprinkle tea. However, they discover the day before that Earl Grey has run out of all sprinkles but one. Disaster! Earl Grey teddy bear plants the sprinkle, hoping to grow a sprinkle tree. Grandma Chamomile tells him it will take three days, but the children are in a hurry because they’ve invited everyone to the sprinkle tea party tomorrow. So, everybody waters the little sprinkle, and it grows into a tiny sprout but stops there with not enough sprinkle fruit.

That night, Earl Grey covers the tree to protect it from the cold. He tells the tree he loves it and isn’t trying to rush it. It can just be itself.  He falls asleep beside the tree which grows during the night. Grandma Chamomile tells him the that watering the plant and giving it light were important, but the greatest gift he gave it was love.

TEA TOWN TEDDY BEARS is very cute and adorable. Each program is around 11 minutes. Each program communicates important messages such as washing your hands, welcoming others, always showing love, and taking care of plants. Even though the stories are simple, the animation is very good, and the dialogue is fun.

There’s no real magic in TEA TOWN TEDDY BEARS, but things happen that violate the rules of nature, such as teacups flying and trees growing up overnight. Therefore, talk to your children so they know that teacups don’t fly and even if you talk to a tree, it’s going to take a long time for it to grow.

When all is said and done, however, TEA TOWN TEDDY BEARS is a great series on Peacock and YouTube for little children.
