Danica McKellar is one of many stars who have chosen to leave Hollywood. The actress recently revealed that she and her family have settled in rural Tennessee.

“My husband and I have been wanting more nature for a long time. We were kind of ready to not be in a city anymore,” she explained. McKellar, her husband Scott, her son Draco, and her mother have all moved to a town about an hour outside of Nashville.

She originally decided on Tennessee after filming a movie there. McKellar also said that the music and creative scene of Nashville attracted her to the area.

“For me, honestly, it’s mostly about the backyard,” the actress went on, describing the “gold and pink and orange and red” foliage in her new home.

McKellar then joked, “I am just loving the fact that my Christmas movie characters have rubbed off on me. I think it’s just a wonderful example of life imitating art.”

The actress is getting ready for the release of her GAC Family Christmas movie, CHRISTMAS AT THE DRIVE-IN. She is one of many stars who are appearing in upcoming Christmas movies for the network.

Movieguide® previously reported on some of the fun times the GAC stars are having on set:

The stars of Great American Family’s upcoming Christmas movies are currently battling it out in a social media dance competition.

Stars like Danica McKellar, Candace Cameron Bure, and Andrea Barber have all posted videos, bringing their co-stars — Neal Bledsoe, Jen Lilley, Jesse Hutch, Marc Blucas and Dan Payne — along for the ride.

“For those of you who haven’t been following Great American Family’s Story, there’s kind of been a dance-off between Danica McKellar and Neal Bledsoe, then Jen Lilly and Jessie Hutch,” Bure said in a recent Instagram story.

She continued, “Then they invited me and Marc Blucas. And now I have tagged Andrea Barber and Dan Payne, to get into these dance wars that are hopefully going to just end today, ‘cuz I don’t think any of us have time to do any more dance wars. We actually have to make movies.”

While not part of the dance battles, Great American Family star Trevor Donovan is appearing on DANCING WITH THE STARS and may have inspired the social media battle.

Many of the videos are silly, with the stars breaking out their best — or worst — moves.
