FIXER TO FABULOUS stars Jenny and Dave Marrs have a berry farm that helps kids in Zimbabwe — and HGTV just wrote about it in its magazine.

“Well this was the best surprise in my mailbox!” Jenny shared on Instagram on Monday. “Our farm dinner is featured in the May/June issue of @hgtvmagazine 🫶!”

“A quick Google search tells me that almost 10 MILLION people will see this issue of the magazine 🤯 … this means more people than we could ever hoped to imagine will learn about the work of The Berry Farm!” she continued.

The Marrses prayed over the farmland 10 years ago. They asked God to use the soil for good, and He has.

“He continues to blow us away with how He can take the simplest step of faith and use it all for our good and His glory! 💕” she added.

The Marrses had their annual farm fundraising dinner on May 1. Jenny shared photos from the event with one of her favorite verses, Lamentations 3:21: “Yet I still dare to hope…”

“Last night, we gathered on the very soil where God has shown us time and again how His faithfulness never ceases,” she said. “We sat around the table with old and new friends and shared stories of hope happening here and across the sea because of this little working farm of ours. We shared the small steps of faith we took exactly a decade ago when we planted 1,500 tiny blueberry sprigs and prayed for abundance.”

“We shared about conversations that happened around another table across the sea that sparked the idea of our farm funding a farm school for vulnerable teens in our dear friend’s rural Zimbabwean community,” she said. “We talked about dignity and light breaking through the harsh reality of extreme poverty for these kids we care deeply about.”

She added that they talked about faithfulness and hope. She thanked those who came to the event, donated or visited the farm. Thanks to the dinner, the farm can support a fully-funded farm school for teens in Zimbabwe for a one-year period.

“We will be sending more kids to school, providing them a place to live and meals to eat!” she said. “And, the work of the farm continues this summer. Because our commitment has been met for the school, we will be able to donate proceeds to other nonprofit partners here in our community and across the globe.”

The Berry Farm donates all proceeds from the berries it sells to the farm school in Zimbabwe, and the Marrses also sell a variety of farm merchandise.

It’s great that these TV stars are using their wealth and influence for a sustainable mission plan, which will finance the Zimbabwe farm school for years to come.
