“Good Day” singer Forrest Frank was skateboarding with his 2-year-old, Bodie, when Frank’s board slid out, flipping him on his back on the sidewalk.
“What’s up, gang?” Frank said, throwing up a peace sign in a July 19 selfie video of himself lying in a hospital bed. “Fractured the vertebrae.”
He shared a video of the fall, caught on his security camera.
After he fell, his toddler ran over to him.
“Are you okay, Daddy? Are you okay?” he said.
His wife, Grace, ran out to check on him.
“I’m gonna go inside, Bodie…” Frank said as he struggled to get up. “My back really hurts.”
The next photo shows Frank lying on the sidewalk in a neck brace as a paramedic checks his vitals.
“Dads, this is your sign to get off the stick,” Frank wrote in the caption. “It was just a casual session with my 2 year old so i didn’t even think to put a helmet on (hindsight is 20/20) 🥵 thankful to God that it wasn’t any worse. multiple fractures to L3 & L4. will be laying in bed for a while….so sorry Grace 🥲💔”

Many fans and other musicians, like Maverick City Music and Josiah Queen, commented that they will pray for Frank.
In his Instagram stories, he shared videos of his friends comforting him and bringing him snacks. He also asked his followers to pray for Grace, who has had to listen to him cry and scream in pain.
Frank also shared a comment from a fan that asked how he was going to make music since his back is broken.
In an “I’ll show you how” attitude, Frank used his laptop, microphone, voice and guitar to make a short song while lying in bed.
It’s called “God’s Got my Back.” The lyrics are:

Even when I’m low and full of lack

Frank has a great attitude about his incident and is looking on the bright side. His back may be broken, but he knows God will still use it for his good.
