Tom Holland says he “feels different” donning his Spider-Man suit for his fourth movie.
“Yeah, I feel good,” Holland said in a voiceover in a new video that Sony Pictures shared from the set of SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY on Aug. 10.
At one point in the video, Holland picked up a young child wearing a Spider-Man costume to pose with him for a photo.
“It’s day one — my fourth-ever day one on SPIDER-MAN. You know, it’s funny. Putting the suit on, it feels different this time, somehow,” Holland said.
“It’s also the first time we’ve ever had fans on set for day one, so it’s really exciting to share this with them,” he added. “We’ve got some familiar faces on set. You know, Im just going to do my best, hopefully get it right. No pressure.”
The video shows Holland as Spider-Man standing atop a tank on a city street.
The crew started filming in Glasgow, Scotland, on Aug. 8.
Holland’s fiancée, Zendaya, will reprise her role as MJ. Jacob Batalon and Jon Favreau will return, and Liza Colón-Zayas and Sadie Sink will be some new faces. Mark Ruffalo will star as Bruce Banner in the movie, and Michael Mando will return as Scorpion. Jon Bernthal will also star as Punisher.
Marvel Studios hasn’t revealed who the main villain of BRAND NEW DAY will be.

Industry insider Jeff Snieder says Carrie Coon will star as a villain in the movie, Murphy’s Multiverse reported Aug. 12.
Batalon, who plays Peter Parker’s best friend, Ned, recently shared a photo of himself holding a Hobgoblin action figure from the Spider-Man comics toy line. Batalon shrugs as he holds up the toy.
There’s been a rumor that’s circulated since last year that Ned might become Hobgoblin.
“I’m open to anything, and I think we all are open to anything,” Batalon said in 2024. “Unless you’re like a superhero, like big time, one of the main ones they’re trying to make movies about, you don’t really know what’s going to happen…I would hopefully [return]. I’m down for anything. I would love to be a part of something special again.”
On becoming Hobgoblin, he said, “Honestly, I’m not sure. Again, we may have talked about things, for sure, but I don’t know if it would’ve really led to anything serious about being a villain, or anything like that.”
Fans can catch SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY in theaters on July 31, 2026.
