A new SPIDER-MAN film starring actor Tom Holland is on its way!

A video clip posted to Instagram shows Holland enter a dark room and then walk up to the camera. He says, “Are you ready?” Notably, Holland is wearing a new Spider-Man suit from his previous films.

Fans clamored with excitement in the comment section for SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY.

“His suit speaks nostalgia. Love the way he took inspo from his big bros Tobey and Andrew, that suit’s pure perfection!!!! 😭🔥” one user said. Another person added, “I gotta say this is gonna be spectacular.”

Variety reported Destin Daniel Cretton will direct the movie. Zendaya, Holland’s real-life fiancé, will return as MJ, Peter Parker’s girlfriend, and Jacob Batalon will play Ned again. New cast members include Jon Bernthal and Liza Colón-Zayas.

Holland also just posted a behind-the-scenes shot to his personal Instagram account. The photo shows the actor dressed as Spider-Man, standing on a machine of some sort, with cables attached to him. “Spider-Man Brand New Day 1,” he wrote in the caption.

This film, which is set to release July 31, 2026, will follow up 2021’s SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME.

Movieguide®’s review of the film reads, “SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME is filled with fun surprises and twists, plus lots of action. There’s plenty of serious jeopardy leading to stirring, sad and tearful moments. The performances are perfectly melded with the story’s twists and turns, including some surprise appearances.”

Movieguide® notes that the film “has a strong moral, redemptive premise that everyone deserves a second chance, even supervillains,” but advises caution for its “many light obscenities and profanities, intense action violence and occult content.”

The 2021 film grossed almost $2 billion, according to Entertainment Weekly. Although BRAND NEW DAY’s synopsis has not yet been revealed, it comes ahead of AVENGERS: DOOMDAY, so there will likely be some crossover between the two stories.

In a pre-recorded messaged Holland made for CinemaCon earlier this year, he revealed, “I know we left you with a massive cliffhanger at the end of NO WAY HOME, so SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That’s all I can say.”

“And I’m well over the hump of giving away spoilers, so don’t be worried,” he joked, referencing his habit of spoiling movies early on in his Marvel career. “I’m not going to do that today. But thank you for your support. It’s always a joy, and I will be back next year, hopefully.”

Fans can’t wait to see how SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY continues Peter Parker’s story.
