Chick-fil-A is gearing up for its 80th birthday, with plans for exciting menu items and fun new merchandise.
“This year marks more than an anniversary — it’s a celebration of the memories, meals, and meaningful moments that have brought people together at Chick-fil-A for generations,” Khalilah Cooper, vice president of brand strategy, advertising and media at Chick-fil-A, said in a statement.
Cooper continued, “We have so much in store this year, delivering menu items and experiences that are fresh and exciting yet firmly rooted in Chick-fil-A’s renowned quality, care, generosity, and hospitality. We’re inviting Guests – old and new – to join us in celebrating our heritage, while looking ahead to the future with us.”
One change that fans of the fast food chain are already excited about? “Frosted Sodas,” which will now be a permanent menu feature at all U.S. locations.

“Frosted sodas mix ‘Icedream’ (which is Chick-fil-A’s signature vanilla soft serve ice cream) with a choice of fountain drink — which includes Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, Sprite, Fanta, Powerade, Hi-C, and Barq’s Root Beer flavors, ‘for a smooth, creamy treat with a retro twist,’” per Newsweek.
Chick-fil-A will also be wrapping their “Original Chicken Sandwich Meal” with new, limited-edition packaging that gives a nod to the ’80s.
Many fans of the fast food chain are also excited about the new merchandise, specifically four different collectible cups. One of these designs will be a “Golden Fan Cup.” 3,000 of these will be randomly distributed, and customers who purchase one will win free Chick-fil-A for a year. This sweepstake will run until July 1, 2026.
Chick-fil-A also announced limited drops of specialty cow plush toys that can be purchased in-store at participating locations.
Chick-fil-A has been around for the last eight decades in large part due to their stellar customer service, as well as their commitment to Christian faith.
“From the beginning, Truett [Cathy, Chick-fil-A’s founder] based his business on Biblical principles that he believed were also good business principles, and since 1982, our Corporate Purpose has guided all that we do,” a statement on the restaurant’s website reads.
It continues, “We keep our Purpose front and center because it helps us to steward our business and our work to positively influence everyone we meet. ‘To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.’ To live out our Purpose and honor Truett’s legacy, we are focused on creating a culture of care, both at the Support Center and in our restaurants.”
From fun new menu options to the chance to win free Chick-fil-A for a year, we can’t wait to celebrate 80 years of Chick-fil-A!
