Erin and Ben Napier Release Unique Kitchen Feature For Your Home

HGTV’s HOME TOWN duo Erin and Ben Napier have created custom butcher block countertops—a new product that fans can get for their own homes.
Erin shared how the couple’s own experience encouraged them to create this product.
“Way back in 2011 when we bought our house, we did an $8k renovation on our kitchen and we drove 6 hours to buy affordable solid maple butcher block slabs for the countertops,” Erin wrote on Instagram. “And we loved them. And so Ben started making them himself with clamps and glue in the first woodshop from seasons 1-2. And then we bought a shuttered factory that had been hit by a tornado and turned it into a state of the art butcher block manufacturing facility.”
“Custom countertops, or stock size slabs, with 10 hardwood species and two finishes to choose from,” she continued. “So, what I’m saying is: you don’t have to drive 6 hours. We will make your countertops just for you then ship them to you.”
Morgane Stapleton, wife of country star Chris Stapleton, commented on the post and wrote, “Y’all create so much beauty in this world!!!!”
Another fan wrote, “Do you make and sell butcher blocks for people that don’t need countertops???”
“ohhhh yes tons of sizes and species and styles,” Erin replied.
Although the countertops are custom-made, the Napiers suggested hiring a professional to do the installation.
The countertops start at about $300 and increase depending on customization.
The next season of HOME TOWN is coming, but no release date has been confirmed yet.
In a July Instagram post, the Napiers teased fans about the upcoming season.
The Scotsman Company wrote, “We can’t show you just yet what they’re working on, but we can assure you that you’re going to love this next season of #HGTVHomeTown!”
A summary of the show reads, “Erin and Ben Napier love their small Mississippi hometown, especially the old historical houses. Using found materials and old textiles, they’re keeping the character of these classic homes but giving them modern and affordable updates. From Erin’s imaginative hand sketches to Ben’s custom handiwork, this couple is bringing homes back to life and making sure their small town’s future is as bright as its past.”
Movieguide® previously reported on the Napiers:
HOME TOWN couple Erin and Ben Napier have been very open about their stance on social media for their two girls. Now, the two have launched a new nonprofit organization, Osprey, that is dedicated to helping other parents keep their children off social media.
In an Instagram post initiating the new organization, Erin Napier wrote, “My friends parenting smart phone-free middle schoolers have had a brutal experience of seeing their child left out, even though research tells us social media is as addictive and destructive for developing brains as any drug…”
“Forming a circle of families and friends who are in this together when your kids are little, linking arms and doing what it takes to give your kids the gift of a social media free adolescence is the only way we change the culture,” she concluded. “For the TWENTY THOUSAND parents who’ve already joined the Osprey newsletter after my post last month, we have a vision and a plan to give our kids support that starts now and takes them through high school graduation. Let’s make old school the new way.”
