Tim Tebow on Fighting Worry: ‘God Has All The Details Figured Out’

Former NFL star Tim Tebow, known for his outspoken faith, recently offered encouragement on social media about fighting anxiety by turning to God.
“Even though worry is natural, try to release it. Find peace that His Knowledge is greater than ours. God has all the details figured out!” Tebow posted on his Instagram.
The former football player expanded on the statement, stating we can trust our plans to God.
“[W]e try to plan our way, but it’s the Lord who establishes our steps! I know it can be easy to let our minds wander as we think about the next thing we have to do this week, or what happened yesterday, or the worries on our heart,” Tebow wrote. “But … cast your worries on the Lord and stay present for those around you!”
He added Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
The Heisman trophy winner frequently discusses faith on social media.
In a previous post, Tebow talked about integrity and standing up for what you believe in—something he has taken heat for in the past.
“How can you display integrity today that might earn someone’s respect tomorrow? Keep showing up and doing the right thing, regardless of what others are saying,” Tebow’s Instagram post reads. “This is what people will notice when they look at you. You earn respect not by blending in but by standing out!”
In a more lighthearted post, Tebow posted a “Throwback Thursday” video with the first video of him rallying his team when he was with the Florida Gators followed by another clip of wife Demi-Leigh Tebow in full football garb reenacting her husband’s speech.
“All this talk about speeches, I know someone who did it way better…@demitebow my forever hype woman,” the 36- year-old wrote.
Along with his work as a sports broadcaster for ESPN, he started the unKnown campaign through the Tim Tebow Foundation to help fight child sex trafficking and urged others to get involved with the campaign, as Movieguide® previously reported:
“Our heart with unKNOWN is to partner with our amazing heroes in law enforcement and other organizations to help identify and protect a specific group of more than 50,000 children we know have been sexually exploited but whose identities and locations remain unknown,” he explained.
The football player elaborated on the unKNOWN project on his website,
writing, “Each of these [law enforcement members and other experts in the field] have played a pivotal role in today’s fast-paced and complex world of child exploitation, where specialized knowledge is paramount to solving intricate challenges in the field. These individuals are highly knowledgeable and experienced, possessing deep expertise and insights that make them invaluable resources to our foundation and so many others around the world.”
“We need an army,” Tebow told readers. “We need people who refuse to look away. For my 36th birthday, I pray to do just that—rally an army, ready to fight for these boys and girls living in this nightmare.”
