THE BIG SQUEEZE

Watch:

What You Need To Know:

THE BIG SQUEEZE squeezes out a plot of deception and manipulation that involves cheating a husband of his money and cheating a church congregation into believing a man-made miracle came from God. While light-hearted and fun, the story does not reflect Christian virtues and encourages promiscuity, adultery, and sexual situations and has little quality or value.

Content:

(AB, C, Pa, LLL, VV, SSS, NN, A, D, M) Subtle anti-Christian satire with several positive references to God, church & witness, but also contains themes involving deception & manipulation & greed; 8 profanities, 1 obscenity & 9 vulgarities; some action violence with man hitting wife & two physical confrontations; 6 sexual situations with implied & graphic adultery & promiscuity; numerous partial male & female nudity scenes; alcohol use; smoking; and, gambling, stealing, manipulation, deception, & lying

More Detail:

THE BIG SQEEZE is a well-worn story of deception and manipulation. Tanya finds out that while she has been working, her unemployed husband has been hiding away the money he received from his accident insurance claims. She leaves him and hooks up with a handsome drifter named Benny so she can cheat her husband Henry of her share of the money. Benny uses the local church’s plight of a shortage of funds to aid in his devious schemes. He creates a phony ‘miracle’ hoping to lure Henry into giving his money to the church via Benny of course. Plans go awry when the characters try to double-cross each other.

Writer-director Marcus De Leon has created his own self-styled version of a dark-edged theme. He gives THE BIG SQUEEZE a jauntiness that is more entertaining than raw. Working on this platform, the film extends reality into acceptable levels of absurdity, but there is a catch to this breeziness. While there are many Christian elements of church and Godly providence, they do not reflect Christian virtues nor teachings. Promiscuity, adultery and sexual situations are rife throughout. Fun as it is, THE BIG SQUEEZE is a satire on Christianity which is high on greed and low on morality.
