Scottsdale, Arizona to Host Kirk Cameron and Sheriff Mark Lamb Library Book Event

In his continued country wide tour, Kirk Cameron visits Scottsdale, Arizona alongside Mark Lamb, who also just announced his run for senate.

“I can’t wait to visit family and friends in Arizona for our next Brave Books story hour,” Cameron stated.

Cameron also invited Governor Katie Hobbs to the event.

“You’re invited to the library as guest of honor,” he said as he spoke directly to Hobbs — “and I’m reserving you a front-row seat.”

“Spoiler alert: The kids will want you to sit Indian-style with them in the front row so you can join them in singing ‘God Bless America’ and maybe even lead us in a prayer. Please come,” Cameron added.

The plan for the group is to say the Pledge of Allegiance, then “sing the national anthem and pray outside the library.”

Sheriff Lamb stated, “Protecting the innocence of children is vital to the preservation of the values this country was founded upon. This woke virus that seems to be spreading across our nation is coming after our kids.”

A spokesperson for Brave Books, a publishing company, stated, “We need government officials to participate in the fruitful upbringing of the next generation. The American people look up to our representatives, and we must elect individuals that will stand up for values like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and more.”

CEO of Brave Books Trent Talbot also expressed, “We have a fight on our hands for the soul of the country. We all need to ask ourselves what we can do to preserve the Christian values this country was founded upon.”

“That means making books that parents and grandparents can trust and taking back our libraries,” he added.

Movieguide® previously reported Kirk Cameron and Coffey Anderson who teamed up for a book reading:

Actor Kirk Cameron teamed up with country star Coffey Anderson for a special reading of the actor’s latest book As You Grow.

Cameron read from the book at Georgia’s Chatham County Public Library, while Anderson performed his hit song “Mr. Red White and Blue.”

“We are so excited to be with Mr. Red White and Blue and hundreds of enthusiastic parents who are fighting for the hearts and minds of children in America,” Cameron said of the reading.

When asked about why he decided to join Cameron’s reading, Anderson replied, “Growing up in central Texas, patriotism was taught to me. My mother was a schoolteacher, my dad’s an Air Force veteran, so I think that it has to be handed down. What better way to support Kirk, the mission, the statement and Brave Books than to come out and sing it?”

Cameron also shared that this reading is just the next step in an exciting plan he and Brave Books have in the works.

“This is the very beginning of a nationwide tour that’s leading up to something very exciting in the summertime,” he revealed.

Cameron continued, “Parents are outraged at the moral state of the union right now, which is why they’re turning out in droves. If we don’t return to being one nation under God, we will be a nation gone under. Our hope isn’t coming from Hollywood or Washington—it’s in the power of God working in the hearts of people.”
