To help the world celebrate the birth of Jesus, a charity called Celebrate Christmas in Singapore is putting on a Christmas special that reflects God’s people from across the globe.

“CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS IN SINGAPORE (CCIS) is a registered charity dedicated to promoting the message of the peace, hope, and joy of Christmas to the communities,” the YouTube description reads. “Joining us in celebrating the heart of Christmas this year are talents from across the globe: Roberta Battaglia (Canada), Shilo Ben Hod (Israel), Akilimali (Japan), Gary Valenciano (Philippines), Kelvin Soh & Breakthrough Missions (Singapore), Miss Lou (Singapore), Allou April & Shana Ray (South Africa), Karien De Waal (South Africa), WeLove (South Korea), The De Lanerolle Brothers (Sri Lanka), Cimorelli (USA), Claire & the Crosby Family (USA), GENTRI (USA), JJ Heller (USA), Mat & Savanna Shaw (USA), Shawna Edwards & Angie Killian (USA), The Petersens (USA), Zach & Kailah of White Ribbon Day (USA) and Watoto Children’s Choir (Uganda, Africa).”

The Dec 19. event already earned thousands of views. If you missed the premiere it is still available to watch on CCIS’ YouTube channel.

“Back home, we collaborated with local talents to produce 3 music videos: Christmas in My City, Counting the Grace of God, including the theme song, Christmas is a Person, for this programme,” CCIS wrote. “We echo the words of the theme song, “Christmas is a person to me.” Won’t you be a GIFT to somebody this Christmas?”

CCIS’ annual Christmas event began fifteen years ago after a small group of believers made it their mission to share the true meaning of Christmas with everyone.

“CCIS is an annual Christmas Outreach Event that began in 2004 by a small group of Christians who wanted to bring the true message of peace and joy of Christmas back into a commercial festive occasion,” the description continued. “In the past years, this event was held in the heart of Singapore’s famous shopping street called Orchard Road. The annual international line-up of carol singers and performances to celebrate the Love, Joy & Peace of Jesus, became a hallmark of Christmas celebration in Singapore, enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.”

“Last year, CCIS went fully digital in light of the Covid-19 pandemic and was broadcast on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, garnering around 2.5 million recorded viewership,” CCIS added.  “Riding on the momentum and the positive reception received, we have curated an international line-up of music videos this year that responded to our theme, The Gift, featuring favourites and new friends from across the globe to share their gifts of music and songs with us.”
