Hailey Bieber: ‘My Body Is Taking A Little Longer To Heal’ After Mini Stroke

By Movieguide® Contributor

Hailey Bieber recently gave fans an update on her health after suffering a mini stroke earlier this year.

“My body is taking a little longer to heal than they thought it would,” she shared. “After they did the heart procedure, I’m always the person who’s in a rush to get back to things, but this has taught me that it’s not physically possible sometimes.”

Part of the recovery process has meant slowing down; especially when it comes to her exercise routine.

“I love fitness, so the last couple of months have been a little hard for me because it’s such an important part of my routine and day,” Bieber said.

Bieber announced she suffered the stroke in March.

As Movieguide® previously reported:

Hailey Bieber recently reassured fans that she is okay after doctors discovered a blood clot in her brain.

The model took to Instagram to update her followers on her health in a recent story:

On Thursday morning, I was sitting at breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke-like symptoms and was taken to the hospital. They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed it on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours.

Although this was definitely one of the scariest moments I’ve ever been through, I’m home now and doing well, and I’m so grateful and thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me!

Hailey said that she is healthy now and that her husband, pop star Justin Bieber, was by her side through it all.

Bieber’s husband, popstar Justin Bieber, is going through some health issues of his own. He was recently diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

Movieguide® reported

Last week pop star Justin Bieber took to Instagram to ask for prayers for recovery from a rare disease called Ramsay Hunt syndrome that can cause facial paralysis.

“I hope you guys understand. I’ll just be using this time to rest and relax and get back to 100% so I can do what I was born to do, ” Bieber told fans after canceling upcoming shows for his Justice World Tour.

On his Instagram post Bieber showed how the syndrome paralyzed the right side of his face affecting his eye, nostril and mouth.

“This is pretty serious as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case. But my body’s telling me I gotta slow down, ” the singer said.

Ramsay Hunt Syndrome is a rare disease that is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox and shingles. Symptoms include severe rashes and paralysis in one side of the face.

Although in some rare cases patients can suffer permanent hearing loss and facial paralysis, the majority of people recover and Bieber is confident that he heal.

“[W]e don’t know how much time it’s gonna be, but it’s gonna be okay. I have hope,” Bieber told his fans.

Bieber said that he is trusting in God and his timing for his healing.

“And I trust God and I trust this is all for a reason,” Bieber said.
