Marvel’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. will join forces with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an all-new Disney+ series, Comic Basics shared in a post on Facebook.
MCU writer Alex Perez suggested in a recent Q&A with Cosmic Circus that the two will come together in VISION QUEST, a series following up the WANDAVISION story.
Fans can expect to see VISION QUEST release “Between BRAND NEW DAY and DOOMSDAY, so mid to late 2026 possibly,” Perez said.
SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY will release July 31, 2026, while AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY debuts in theaters Dec. 18, 2026.

He also confirmed that Ruaridh Mollica’s character in the series is “Tommy Maximoff’s reincarnation.”
When asked how “AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. will connect to the MCU?” he said that fans should tune into VISION QUEST to find out.
Paul Bettany will return to the MCU as Vision. Other members of the VISION QUEST cast includes James Spader as Ultron, Todd Stashwick, Mollica, T’Nia Miller, Emily Hampshire and Orla Brady.
No official plot has been announced, but Nerdist speculated that the series will “follow the life of the rebuilt Vision synthezoid from the end of WANDAVISION.”
“At the end of that series, the government rebuilt ‘White Vision.’ He then gained the memories of the Vision that Wanda Maximoff created in the Westview hex. He flew off for parts unknown, with no appearance from the character ever since,” the outlet continued. “Presumably, the new series will see Vision trying to find his purpose in life. It will serve as the third part of an MCU ‘trilogy’ that began with WANDAVISION, and continued with AGATHA ALL ALONG.”
Comic Basics said VISION QUEST will be considered part of the MCU’s Phase Six.
ScreenRant posited that the series’ release date close to DOOMSDAY suggests a “stronger possible connection between the two releases. Indeed, with Vision being one of the few remaining focal Avengers still alive and still seemingly operating as a superhero in the franchise, VISION QUEST could well serve to set the character up for a more integral role in the Avengers going forward.”
“Even if White Vision ends up without the heroic motivations of his original form, the multiverse-wide threats the next Avengers movies appear set to put in motion could be enough to align him with the MCU’s heroes, making the 2026 series all the more pertinent. That said, AGATHA ALL ALONG. bringing back Wanda and Vision’s son Billy means he could fit into that story any time from now,” ScreenRant added.
For right now, though, Marvel fans will have to wait to see how AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. ties into this story.
