Danny Gokey Encourages Struggling Followers: ‘Don’t Lose Faith’

Christian artist Danny Gokey shared some scriptures with anyone who is feeling lost.
“Here’s some pain medicine for all of you who feel like a casualty in this struggle called ‘life,’’ he captioned a video of himself singing “Stay Strong.” “Don’t give up. Don’t give in. Don’t lose faith.”
Gokey added some favorite Bible verses:
“The Lord is near the brokenhearted; He saves those crushed in spirit.”
Psalms 34:18 HCSB
“Fight the good fight for the faith; take hold of eternal life that you were called to and have made a good confession about in the presence of many witnesses.”
1 Timothy 6:12 HCSB
“God, You have taught me from my youth, and I still proclaim Your wonderful works.”

Gokey has previously spoken about the message of “Stay Strong.”
“Waiting for breakthrough? Praying for change? Asking for healing?” he wrote on Instagram. “It’s one thing to know that God is going to come through. It’s another to endure in the midst of the struggle.”
He continued, “No matter where you are today, and even if you never see the answer you want, this song is a reminder to stay strong, to hold onto your faith, and to never stop believing that God WILL work everything out for good!”
In another post, he reiterated this message.
“The Bible tells us to consider it JOY when we face trials of many kinds. Why? Because they are working to produce perseverance & maturity … if we let them,” Gokey explained.
“Joy is certainly not a first – or natural – response. Rather, we can become unstable and anxious. So what should we do?
Ask for wisdom. God will give it generously! He doesn’t want us to get stuck in our trials or bogged down in our feelings. He wants us to rise above! God has the solution before we even ask. We need only to believe!” he concluded.
Gokey is currently on the road with Natalie Grant and Mac Powell as part of K-LOVE’s “Celebrate Christmas” tour.
“I am SO excited that @dannygokey and I are going on our 8th annual Celebrate Christmas tour this December!!!!” Grant posted on Instagram. “We’re excited to partner with @KLOVEradio, and we also get to bring our friend @MacPowell. We really hope you’ll join us this Christmas season!”

Danny Gokey is celebrating the end of his “Stay Strong” tour.
“What. A. Tour,” he captioned an Instagram video made up of clips from the shows. “26 cities. Over 600 decisions to follow Jesus. Countless fun moments shared, memories made and lives changed.”
Gokey shouted out tourmates Austin French and Natalie Layne, writing, “You are the real deal, and it meant so much to have you be a part of this tour!”
“I’m incredibly grateful that I get to share these messages of hope, and for the amazing band, crew, sponsors & promoter team that make it possible every single night!” he continued. “And most importantly, to each of YOU who are there to sing, dance and worship with us! It’s been a blast…THANK YOU!!!”
