Jenny Marrs Celebrates ‘Holy Moments’ at Family’s Berry Fest

HGTV’s FIXER TO FABULOUS star Jenny Marrs is celebrating God’s plans after her family hosted a special event at their farm.

The Marrs family welcomed pastors John and Orpah, their ministry partners from Zimbabwe, to their Berry Fest, held at their berry farm in Bentonville, Arkansas.

“I have SO much to say about yesterday,” Marrs began. “I have so many photos to share and many thoughts on how every person we met was the most kind, most generous (so many stories to share!) and most encouraging. For now, I’ll say this: we opened the fields once again for berry picking and live music and dancing among the fireflies. It was everything we dreamt it would be and more. Friends from near and far gathered on this soil that has bold prayers and big dreams burrowed deep within.”

Marrs expressed her gratitude to partner with John and Orpah who are doing work to improve the lives of children in Zimbabwe through their organization, “Help One Now.”

“We shared holy moments with our beloved Zimbabwean partners in this work,” Marrs continued. “We looked around together and marveled at the way God can plant a dream in the hearts of four very unsuspecting people and He can carry it to completion in ways we could never have even thought to ask for or imagine.”

She also mentioned that, while following God’s plans can be difficult at times, it is always rewarding.

“Living life surrendered to God’s plans is a wild thing,” she explained. “It’s not ever easy, yet, every once in a while, you lift up your head and see that all the hard work, all the sacrifices, all the tears and all of the prayers have been leading right to this very moment. And, in that moment, you are, as Pastor John said yesterday, re-energized. You can go back to the work with fresh hearts and bright eyes. You can be confident knowing that God is using every single bit of it for your good and His glory.”

The Berry Farm partners with Help One Now and local leaders in Marondera, Zimbabwe, to “provide resources to train and empower teenagers and young adults to transition into adulthood with the skills that they need to succeed.”

Movieguide® previously reported:

The family all visited Zimbabwe together in 2017 and for many years have supported the Help One Now ministry there. Help One Now helps families out of poverty.

Jenny previously said, “Dave and I are fully committed to the work Help One Now is doing around the globe. We have met and learned from all of the brilliant local leaders (leaders leading within their own community – not an outsider coming in mandating what should be done), we have visited communities around the world and we have seen first-hand the impact of programs like the Family Empowerment program. Parents are starting businesses, kids are going to school, entire communities are being transformed.”
