SAVING BIKINI BOTTOM: THE SANDY CHEEKS MOVIE is an animated comedy on Netflix where Sandy Cheeks, the intrepid squirrel and marine biologist living on Bikini Bottom, and her friend, the eternally optimistic SpongeBob SquarePants, must rescue the inhabitants of Bikini Bottom from a crazed woman who wants to turn them into a line of cloned, cuddly living toys. SAVING BIKINI BOTTOM is typical SpongeBob, funny, absurd and silly, with a heartfelt theme about family saving family, but there are some slightly scary parts, such as a scene where Sandy’s Texas family helps her fight off a band of hungry rattlesnakes.

ULTRAMAN: RISING is an animated science fiction adventure on Netflix about a baseball player who takes over his father’s role as a metallic hero who defends Japan from giant monsters. ULTRAMAN: RISING is a messy, yet heartfelt story about a cocky man finding true value in his family and his legacy, but its spectacular, exciting animation and morally uplifting, redemptive content are marred by too much exposition and some intense action violence and mostly light foul language.

KUNG FU PANDA 4 stars Jack Black as Po, the unlikely martial arts master, who must find a successor to his role as the Dragon Warrior protecting the Valley of Peace, but must do one last battle when Chameleon, the “Empress of Deception,” tries to steal his Staff of Wisdom. KUNG FU PANDA 4 is a funny, well-done animated fantasy, but it has some scary villains and a mixed worldview with strong themes of Eastern religion combined with moral, redemptive themes of repentance, forgiveness, trusting people, and caring for others more than yourself.

A SHAUN THE SHEEP MOVIE: FARMAGEDDON is another great, funny, heartwarming, delightful Aardmore Studio stop motion family cartoon, where Shaun has some adventures with an alien and his flying saucer. Now playing on Netflix, FARMAGEDDON is full of fun and fantasy that will appeal to all ages as well as clever science fiction references that will appeal to adults.

GARFIELD THE MOVIE brings the popular feline comic character to life in a story focusing on the relationship between Garfield and Odie the dog. Full of wacky fun for the whole family, the movie is appropriate for all ages.

YES DAY is a funny, enjoyable family comedy streaming on Netflix about parents who say yes to their three children for one whole day. YES DAY has a morally uplifting, redemptive worldview about loving one another, making sacrifices for others and giving to your family.

Adam Sandler’s latest movie on Netflix, LEO, is a clean, clever, utterly wonderful animated musical comedy for all ages that follows a talking lizard named Leo who helps some students and their mean teacher with numerous life lessons. Leo has spent his entire 74 years of life in a glass-encased terrarium at an elementary school fifth-grade classroom alongside his best friend, Squirtle the Turtle, but now wants to see the world.

OVER THE HEDGE is a new animated comedy about a shifty raccoon who cons a group of animals into stealing food from humans so he can repay an angry bear. OVER THE HEDGE is often very funny and entertaining and has a positive heartwarming ending, but it has some moral problems and is slow in parts.

DADDY DAY CARE is a delightful, breezy romp starring Eddie Murphy in his most family-friendly movie to date. Mr. Murphy plays an unemployed advertising executive who decides to start a day care with his best friend, a decision that leads to humorous complications.
