Here’s When Tom Holland’s 4th SPIDER-MAN Movie Will Hit Theaters

SPIDER-MAN fans now know how long they will have to wait for the next Tom Holland-led movie after the actor revealed the fourth movie in his saga will be released in July 2026.
The movie, which has yet to be given a title, will release shortly after AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY, which hits theaters on May 1, 2026. The second movie in the series, SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, followed a similar release schedule, coming to theaters two months after AVENGERS: ENDGAME.
The ending to the third movie in the series was masterfully done as it brought closure to the storyline the first two movies built while providing a direction for the next movie if Marvel chose to make it. Because a fourth SPIDER-MAN movie was never guaranteed, Tom Holland warned he would only sign on for more movies if the story made sense.
“It’s a collaborative process. The first few meetings were about, ‘Why would we do this again?’ And I think we found the reason why. I’m really, really happy with where we’re at in terms of the creative,” Holland told The Hollywood Reporter in June 2023.
“But I’m also a little apprehensive about it,” he continued. “There’s a bit of a stigma about the fourth one in all franchises. I feel like we hit a home run with our first franchise and there’s a part of me that wants to walk away with my head held high and pass the baton to the next lucky kid that gets to bring this character to life.”

With a complete script now written, these ideas have been fully fleshed out and have made Tom Holland and his girlfriend Zendaya, who plays MJ in the series, extremely excited about the upcoming movie.
“We have a creative and we have a pitch and a draft, which is excellent,” Holland recently said. “It needs work, but the writers are doing a great job. I read it three weeks ago and it really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down and read it together and we at times were bouncing around the living room like this is a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect.”
The movie, however, still has to fit inside the overarching Marvel storyline, which provides some limitations for the writers and is never an easy task.
“One of the things is that, with Marvel, your film is a small cog in a large machine,” Holland said. “That machine has got to keep running. You need to make sure you can fit into that timeline at the right time to benefit the bigger picture…That’s one of the challenges we’re facing. The time in which we need to get that done is a tall order but definitely achievable with the fantastic people we have working on it now.”
