DESPICABLE ME is a very witty, heartfelt animated movie about an extremely sinful character transformed by the love of three little girls. The ending to DESPICABLE ME is so uplifting and redemptive that it overshadows some of the action violence, slapstick comedy and light scatological references.
HAIL, CAESAR! - 4/16/2020
HAIL, CAESAR! is a comedy about a fixer at a fictional 1950s Hollywood studio, whose major star is kidnapped and held for ransom while shooting a biblical epic. HAIL, CAESAR! is quirky and entertaining, with a surprisingly strong Christian worldview, but caution is advised for a few strong profanities and one or two off-color innuendoes.

BEARS - 4/1/2020
BEARS is an adorable Disney Nature movie following a mother bear and her two cubs trying to make it to food. BEARS is a beautiful, funny, entertaining movie for the entire family. Even though it’s not graphic, some young children may get scared from some bears fighting.
CHIMPANZEE - 4/1/2020
Filmed in the jungles of Africa, CHIMPANZEE follows a baby chimp, Oscar, who learns daily from his mother until tragedy strikes. Just as Oscar learns, the audience also learns just how important family is. CHIMPANZEE is one of the better nature documentaries.
NATIONAL TREASURE - 4/30/2020
NATIONAL TREASURE is a rollicking, witty adventure mystery starring Nicolas Cage as a contemporary Indiana Jones hero hunting clues to a treasure hidden for hundreds of years. Although it shows a couple Masonic symbols that help locate the treasure, the movie is not occult or anti-Christian, but is a family-friendly entertainment that honors early American history, the Founding Fathers, the Declaration of Independence, and ideals such as liberty, traditional family values, bravery, honor, patriotism, loyalty, and justice.

Set in a post-apocalyptic future, THE BOOK OF ELI, is the captivating story of a man on a quest westward across the wasteland of America to bring a sacred book to safety. Along the way, he is aided by a young girl who desires to learn more about the book but is opposed by evil men who want to use the book for their own personal gain. THE BOOK OF ELI is an absorbing, gratifying, and well acted movie with very strong Christian, biblical references, but there is much, sometimes brutal violence and some crude references, so extreme caution is required.

HORTON HEARS A WHO is an uneven adaptation of the famous story by Dr. Seuss about the elephant who hears a tiny voice crying in the wilderness and declares, “A person’s a person, no matter how small!” HORTON HEARS A WHO is sometimes entertaining and humorous movie and sometimes dull and annoying when it dilutes its message of faithfulness, compassion, self-sacrifice, and looking out for others with some Romantic, politically correct messages.
MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE TO AFRICA - 4/1/2020
In MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA, Alex, Marty, Melman, and Gloria escape from Madagascar, only to crash-land on the plains of Africa, where they encounter species of their own and grow through some new adventures. ESCAPE 2 AFRICA is one of the most hilarious, heartwarming animated movies of the year, with many positive values, but it has some crude humor and light pagan content that require caution for older children.
SPIDER-MAN - 4/1/2020
SPIDER-MAN is a live-action version of the famous comic book hero Peter Parker, who becomes a crime-fighting hero with super powers when he’s bitten by a genetically engineered spider. SPIDER-MAN is an exciting, high octane comic book adventure with an excellent performance by Tobey Maguire and many positive moral, biblical and redemptive elements, but the action violence is too intense for younger children.
ABOMINABLE - 4/24/2020
ABOMINABLE is a sweet animated movie about a teenage girl named Yi, who tries to help a Yeti get back to his home on Mt. Everest. ABOMINABLE showcases a strong moral worldview extolling family, reconciliation and forgiveness, with some light environmental elements that include an emphasis on respecting animals. The movie also depicts scenes with the Yeti having magical powers, some cultural references to Buddha, and a reverence for ancestors.
